Shweta Tiwari, who is most popularly known for her role as Prerna in Ekta Kapoor’s cult love saga, Kasautii Zindgii Kay, will once again be back on our television screens with her upcoming show Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, in which she will be seen romancing Varun Badola. There has been a lot of excitement among her fans as she will be seen on TV after 3 years. Not just this, she also recently revealed her daughter Palak Tiwari’s Bollywood debut plans. Palak was reportedly going to make her Bollywood debut alongside Taare Zameen Par star Darsheel Safari, but after it got delayed beyond a point, she later withdrew her name from it.

Now, at a recent interaction with media, Shweta Tiwari said that her daughter Palak knows what she wants to do, which is why everything is decided by her only. She also added that Palak makes her own decisions and she recently got an offer to shoot for a luxurious brand, which she declined, as she wants to do some valuable work and not bunk her school and papers for things that are not worth her time. Which is why Palak herself decides and chooses her own auditions. She jokingly added that she only handles the negotiation part. Shweta Tiwari was also asked if like Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who doesn’t want to act for fear that he would be compared to his dad, Palak also has similar thoughts. To which, Shweta Tiwari replied, “No, it is nothing like that for her. I am desh ki bahu, she doesn't want to be a bahu. She didn't want to do anything which is very close to my work. She is much better at acting than me." 

Shweta Tiwari also recently opened up about her marriage with Abhinav Kohli and had said that a lot of people who tell her, “Achha? Dobara bhi problem? Aisa ho nahi sakta.” She questioned them saying, “Aisa kyu nahi ho sakta? At least I have the guts that if I faced a problem again, I could speak up about my problems without any fear whatsoever. What others think of me is none of my concern. I will only do what is right for my child and my personal growth.”
